Can you help a paper animal cross a gap without adding more paper?
Public beta missionFollow the matching kit materials and the safety guidance on this page. Final production-kit validation is still in progress, so stop and ask a grown-up if your physical setup differs.
1 · Make It Strong
Your new skill: Improve a shape before adding material.
Meet the parts
Match the names to your parts before you build. New parts appear when you first need them. You can point, say the name or show a grown-up.
Craft sticks and paper New here
These are our building materials. Shape and arrangement can change how a structure holds a load.
Spot it and try it
Look for: Sort sticks by size and choose the paper stated in the mission.
Before using it: Keep the same material for a fair comparison. Ask for adult help with cutting and remove splinters.
Your turn: Predict whether a flat sheet and a folded sheet will hold the same load.
Ruler timer and evidence sheet New here
A ruler measures distance. A timer measures elapsed time. Your paper records a prediction and result so you can compare tests.
Spot it and try it
Look for: Find the cm marks or the timer display and a place to draw or write.
Before using it: Use the same start point and method each time. You can say, point or draw your evidence instead of writing long answers.
Your turn: Choose the mark where the first measurement will begin.

WHAT YOU'LL USE
Match these to your kit
Gather from home
1 sheet of paper or chart paperPencil2 equal-height household books6 identical household coinsHousehold ruler or a pre-marked 10 cm paper strip
Kit list: match the named parts to your box and its component cards. Home list: gather these before starting; some may also be supplied in your kit. Reuse components between missions. Stop and ask a grown-up if an essential part or label is missing.
BEFORE YOU BUILD
Work on a clear table with a grown-up nearby. An adult handles cutting or making holes. Keep small parts away from mouths and younger children. Stop if a part breaks or a sharp edge appears.
YOUR REWARD
+80 XPMission completion
PREDICT BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Before you start, predict the result and say why. It is fine if your prediction changes after the test.

WHAT'S REALLY HAPPENING?
Why it works
Folding changes the shape of the paper so it resists bending. A stronger shape can support more load without adding more material.
FAIR-TEST CHALLENGE
Change one feature, keep the rest the same and repeat your comparison.
CLEAN, RESET AND STORE
Switch off and disconnect any battery. Remove tape gently to recover reusable parts; store electronics dry and free of glue.
