FIRST WONDER LEARNING LAB
Learning Privacy Notice
Last updated: 2 October 2026
The Learning Lab is designed around a parent or guardian account. Children do not need their own email address to use the intended learning experience.
Information we use
To provide the Learning Lab, First Wonder may process:
- the parent or guardian's email address and display name;
- a child profile nickname/display name, age band, profile symbol and protected PIN;
- mission progress, quiz results, XP, badges and certificates;
- questions sent to the First Wonder AI Tutor and limited tutor-usage records;
- technical information needed to keep the service secure and functioning.
How we use learning data
Learning data is used to save progress, show achievements, issue certificates, provide troubleshooting and tutoring, support families, protect the service and improve First Wonder learning experiences.
Parent control and marketing
The parent or guardian manages the account and child profiles. Marketing permission is requested separately. Refusing marketing does not remove access to the Learning Lab.
AI Tutor
When the tutor is used, the child's question is processed together with the relevant First Wonder mission context and age band so the tutor can answer appropriately. Do not enter addresses, phone numbers, school names, passwords, medical information or other sensitive personal details into the tutor.
PINs and account security
Child PINs and parent passwords are stored in protected hashed form rather than as readable passwords. Parents remain responsible for keeping their account credentials private and for supervising access to the account.
Storage on the device
A necessary sign-in session is used to keep the parent account authenticated. The selected child profile is kept for the current browser session only. First Wonder's built-in Learning Lab analytics are configured without persistent browser storage.
Service providers
First Wonder uses technology and hosting providers to operate the Learning Lab, store data securely, and provide the AI Tutor. Those providers may process information only as needed to provide the relevant service and under their applicable terms.
Retention, access and deletion
Parents can contact First Wonder to ask about the learning information associated with their account or request correction or deletion where applicable. Some information may need to be retained where required for security, legal or operational reasons.
Safety and changes
No online service can guarantee absolute security. First Wonder may update this notice as the Learning Lab changes and will update the date shown above when material changes are made.
Questions about privacy can be sent through the First Wonder contact page.
